Preaching the Word
We believe that the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to change people’s lives. We believe in biblical preaching that is aimed at the heart of the believer and the unbeliever.
Sunday School
We offer a Sunday School program with qualified teachers who use the Bible to minister to the hearts of their class members. We believe that any Sunday School curriculum should be Bible-based and Christ-centered.
Bus Ministry
Two church vans presently run every Sunday morning for Sunday School and church to pick up children and adults in the surrounding neighborhoods. The vans also pick up college students for the Sunday evening services.
Soul Winning
Each Saturday we meet at our church at 10:00 a.m. and pray before we go out to knock on doors. We do not believe that door-to-door soul winning is an outdated method of evangelism. It is not the only way, but, in my opinion, it is the best way to reach people. We have a number of people in our church who have been reached through our soul winning program.
Daily Radio Program
Throughout the week (Monday-Friday), we have a daily radio program on WTBI (91.5 FM) radio. The name of the program is the “Voice of Gethsemane.” The program is a ten minute program, starting at 5:50 p.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. We have had this program for about ten years. God has used the program to reach the lost with the Gospel and to edify the saints with principles of truth from the Word of God.
Faith Promise Missions
About eight years ago, we started our Missions Program. Every year we have a Faith Promise Sunday. On this day, we preach missions exclusively and encourage our people to prayerfully support the Missions Program financially. As a result, we have been able to support a number of missionaries. We believe in taking the Gospel to Greenville ourselves. However, we believe, also, in sending the Gospel to places where we can’t go! Faith Promise Missions enables us to do that.
Children’s Church
We provide a Children’s Church for all children between the ages of five and twelve. We have qualified, compassionate workers who teach the Bible to the children on their level while the parents are in the main worship service.
Nursery is provided for families with young children, and transportation is available for those who live in close proximity to the church.
In the future, we are prayerfully considering having a youth group and additional ministries for children.
